Zack Williams
As an educator on multiple levels, Zack saw the adverse affects of implicit biases, lack of diversity, and and the need for a practical solutions in helping others understand their differences. By embracing our uniqueness, it gives us all the tools we need reach a unified goal within any organization and/or as an individual.
Zack created The Liaison Initiative with an objective to develop “leaders of intersectionality”. This includes educating individuals, government agencies, companies and organizations on the importance of acknowledging diversity, addressing mental health, implementing leadership, and fostering community outreach.
He is the creator and host of “Conversations We Need to Have”, a media platform dedicated to dialogue about complex issues related to politics, race relations, religion, civil rights, and other social issues. Conversations have includes topics such as “White Privilege: A Conversation About Race and Equity.”, “Police Brutality: Causes, Effects,and Solutions”, “What About Us: A Conversation with the Class of 2020”, “Open Mic: A Conversation with Creatives About How the Arts Shapes a Culture and Define History”,and “Pulpit Perspectives: Addressing the Spiritual and Social Climate of Our Country.” “Conversations We Need to Have” seeks to educate, engage, and entertain. Weekly viewership for this virtual platform ranges in the thousands, with international viewership in countries such South Korea, Ghana, and Australia.
Civically, Zack has used his influence and innovative leadership to build bridges with politicians, religious leaders, and educators. He has led efforts to address present issues in the local community such as gentrification, educational funding, and social development. He has developed a strong reputation for being the architect of complex conversations and panel discussions on the political process, mental health, leadership, issues of diversity and more.
In addition, Zack is the founder and CEO of The Liaison Initiative, a company designed to educate individuals, government agencies, non-profits organizations, educational institutions on the importance of acknowledging diversity, addressing mental health, implementing effective leadership strategies, and fostering effective community engagement. TLI has opportunity to speak and facilitate insightful conversations at several colleges & universities to include Bellarmine University, FAMU, Howard University, and Paine College. He is currently serves a Executive Director for Hope for the Heart of Georgia, CEO of the non-profit organization The Liaison Group, visionary of The “Honor Series”, and community organizer and strategist.
Zack is a frequent speaker, moderator, and facilitator for public and private organizations for panel discussions, various functions, and events. He is a native of Macon, GA. He has earned his B.A., in Education, B.S., in Information Systems, Master of Organizational Leadership, and Masters of Public Administration. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion at University of Central Arkansas. He is the proud father of one son, ZJ.
